In the e-mails revealed today, concerning Luís Filipe Vieira, an interesting e-mail from Carlos Janela comes up, when the blog Verdade Desportiva was created by Benfica.
The email says:
Herewith, I send the blog budget for your approval.
The network of collaborators and informants is very important to receive good information and, at the same time, they will spread our news.
In principle, today the activity begins.
Below there is a list of newspaper, television and Portuguese radio, with initials of journalists. Benfica wanted to pay these journalists to give them privileged information and also to make news that Benfica wants. That is control of social communication. And that’s a crime.
In the OBS part it says:
In order to maintain maximum confidentiality, payments must be made in cash. I propose payments to be made before the 15th of each month
Who are those journalists?
TSF Porto (RP) – Ricardo Pateiro
Ricardo Pateiro is a journalist of TSF, Portuguese radio, and, supposedly, he earns 400 € / month.
Record Porto – Jorge Barbosa
Editor-in-chief of the sports journal Record, supposedly, he also receives 400 € / month.
Antena 1 – Alexandre Afonso
Alexandre Afonso de Antena 1, who has already participated in a TV show on BTV [BenficaTV], receives, supposedly, 400 € / month
Record – Sérgio Krithinas
The publisher of Record receives, supposedly, 400 €/month.
TVI – Rui Pedro Braz
About this character, nothing strange. He already has a profile here because he is a “cartilheiro” at the service of Benfica. He has a license agreement that prevents him from speaking poorly of Benfica. Now we know that he also receives, supposedly, 400 € / month.
Diário de Notícias – Carlos Nogueira
(image taken from Artista do Dia.)
The journalist Carlos Nogueira receives, supposedly, 300 € / month.
RTP – José Nunes
José Nunes, a commentator of RTP, public television channel, who was already a well-known “Cartilheiro”, is supposedly receiving € 400 / month from Benfica.
About the journalists of the newspaper O Jogo it must be Lino Devesas and Víctor Ribeiro
The blog Verdade Desportiva lasted only a few weeks, so we do not know if these journalists received any payment, but just the fact that they are mentioned demonstrates the promiscuity that exists between them and Benfica. It is shameful!
