In the e-mails revealed today, we can see that the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) and Benfica fled the tax authorities for payment of 50’000 euros. This payment was made by the “horse door”, Portuguese expression referring to something illegal.
The mail is about the game Portugal x Hungary played in Benfica’s stadium. Then, Domingos Soares de Oliveira send an e-mail to Paulo Gonçalves saying: You can start to talk with Rui Pereira and Miguel Reis. About the contract, it is closed. GM (Gilberto Madaíl – President of the FPF at the time) will pay more 50 k by the “horse door”. See only the juridic components (about the contract), and you can prepare to sign…
This is a grave crime, both by the FPF and Benfica.
The tickets offered to the members of the FPF Disciplinary Board
In the e-mails of Paulo Gonçalves leaked today, it is noticed that Benfica offers tickets to members of the Disciplinary Council of the Portuguese Football Federation. According to Benfica, they never had any reason to complain about the board members targeted in the e-mail.
On this e-mail, Ana Zagalo, sent a question to Paulo Gonçalves, because those four names in the list wanted tickets for a game against Oporto. She wants to know if “they are important to Benfica in some way”.
Paulo Gonçalves answers saying “that they are all board members of the Disciplinary Council of the FPF, and we don’t have complaints about them.”
This is influence peddling.
