On June 23th, FC Porto through its official website wrote the following statement:
FC Porto informs that through its Director of Information and Communication, it has answered the request of the National Anti-Corruption Unit of the Judicial Police (PJ) and provided all the documentation available on original records of the e-mails to and from SL Benfica.
Of course, the Octopus’s counter-information began to attack the news.
A good example is the newspaper Record affirming, without any proof, that the PJ intimated F.C. Porto to give the emails by an alleged complaint of Benfica.
This was denied in a statement by Porto and was also denied by Judicial Police here.
